Help with simregister.co.uk
Hi, a good 6 or so months back i ordered a simcard off of ebay and went on simregister co uk as i was instructed to get my £5 free credit. It worked fine and i thought nothing of it until today. I received an email from them saying:
"Dear Christopher,
We are pleased to inform you that your order with has now been despatched from our Distribution Centre via"
This makes no sense to me as the message cuts off at the end and i also have never ordered anything from them as i do not want to and on their site there is nothing to order. I have tried replying directly to the email but i get a failure notice and there are no contact details on the site. Interestingly the email says it is from
"sales@web3g co uk" i have tried researching this to no avail, and as you can imagine this is quite concerning as i don't remembering ordering anything. Also i am fairly sure i did not provide any debit/banking details to them but as it was some time ago i am not completely sure.
Any help with this would be much appreciated. (dots have been removed to prevent links)

Hi,
New to the forum etc. but we too have had a very similar e-mail today, again we didn't give any financial details but in the same vain we didn't order anything either.
Concerning/puzzling/apprehensive.
If anyone could shed any light then please feel free.

I too have just received an email from them:
"
Dear A....,
We are pleased to inform you that your order with has now been despatched from our Distribution Centre via"
then it cuts off. I had a free "Three" sim with £10 credit on it recently, but I don';t think it was with "web3g" as this email seems to be from.0 -

They seem to be a legitimate company. Their website is here.
From their About page.Shebang Distribution Ltd: One of the leading distributors of mobile phone and related products in the UK, continually bringing new innovations to market for over 400 companies. It is already widely considered to be the first port of call for most dealers and companies wanting a professional service and quality products. Customers include; Amazon, Tesco, E-Buyer, Maplins, Play.com and many others.
So it looks like if you've purchased from one of their resellers websites then you would be on their mailing list.
I think the email was probably sent out in error if you haven't bought anything recently, so I would just ignore it.0 -
That's very reassuring to hear, thanks a lot for your help.0

Two of the same emails here too stating:
We are pleased to inform you that your order with has now been despatched from our Distribution Centre via
Looking at the properties and then source of the email it appears to be just a template which states:
Dear <CUSTOMER NAME>,
We are pleased to inform you that your order with <WEB BRANCH URL> has now been despatched from our Distribution Centre via <DESPATCHED VIA>. You may track the progress of your order by logging on to www.dpd.co.uk/tracking/tracking.do and inserting Tracking Reference No. <TRACKING ID> .
Finally, thank you for shopping with <WEB BRANCH URL>.
Kind regards,
The <WEB BRANCH> Web Sales Team.

The email address is used by Affordable Mobiles, Go Mobile UK and Sim Registar. Hopefully this is an error by one of them.0
