    Good for you - sounds very interesting.

    Did smile to myself when wondering what 'forensic computing' was - just had an image of dead computer crime scenes and them calling in forensics teams to see why the laptops died !!! haha x

    I had to appeal for my DLA earlier this year. Put in the GL24 form and about 6 weeks later got a letter saying they had reconsidered and reinstated it to the rate I have been on for years, and the backdated money was already in the bank!

    It seems like they initially refuse almost all claims these days - probably to weed out the dodgy ones - but success at reconsideration or appeal is, I believe, quite high. If you apply for an appeal, they automatically send it for reconsideration first.

    Try to send in as much extra evidence as you can in the meantime, and good luck!

    That simply is not true. The reason lay people assume that is because people only talk/ post about DLA when things go wrong.
