So what laws related to clamping and PPCs can I suggest are repealed?

The one that the Labour party rushed through on the last day of parliament just before they were dumped.
Not sure the correct name but I think its the "Crime and Security industries" bill.

It would be good if we could all email Nick Clegg about banning clamping this week. Seeing as he asked! I will look for his email addy if I get a mo but I'm at work right now.

I must admit I did expect a bigger response than this. Maybe nobody thinks clamping is bad except a few.

Apparently you have to do it through this website - http://yourfreedom.hmg.gov.uk

I've been trying to register for the last hour but like most Government websites it doesn't work!

As well as the clamping issue, I wanted to suggest the scrapping of Section172 of the RTA on the "Restoring Civil Liberties" page.

Peter, never fear you are well on the ball. Perhaps change header to "Let's Outlaw Clamping" and you will get a response (agree NC appears turn off for some).

I hear on grapevine that BPA very worried about prospect of a ban/onerous restrictions on clamping. The new govt are coming around to the idea that a ban may well be the way to go and it would be very popular.

If enough people get in touch there is a real chance that these modern day !!!!!! Turpins could be forced to do an honest job. People power can result in the clampers being clamped!

EWhen i tried it did not like firefo, worked with ie though.
