Consoles part-ex pre-order, price now changed

Hi everyone!
I have a couple of question's regarding a pre-order I have placed with a GAME store recently.
Firstly, GAME are currently running a Trade-In promotion in relation to a new console, due 16th July here. You hand over your un-wanted or un-needed console, and then pay a set amount towards the total cost of the new console, ie.
I have traded-in a Xbox 360 Elite 120GB, and GAME (at the time of part-exchanging/pre-ordering), say I only need to pay £99.99 towards the new console. They require a £20 deposit, to pre-order the new console, understandably.
However, their website now has a higher 'you pay' value for the console I handed over; from £99.99 to pay, up to £119.99 to pay...
Question 1 - As this price has increased by £20, after I have already handed over my part-exchanged console and deposit from a 'Trade-In card' (set up in store at the same time), and only need to pay the remaining value (£80)..
ARE 'GAME' IN A POSITION TO CHARGE ME THE EXTRA £20, NOW ADVERTISED..?
- Or, as I already have a receipt and have pre-ordered the new console, and handed my previous 'Elite' console over..
DO THEY HAVE TO ACCEPT THE ORIGINAL AMOUNT/VALUE FROM ME ie. £80 = £99.99 to pay.
Sorry if this seems confusing - I tend to sway off topic a little, I will try and re-word if need be
Oh, and Question 2 -
The new console is £199.99. They say after giving them my old console I only pay £99.99. Throughout the whole process, I didn't have to provide any cash or card payment, even for a deposit.
The guy said the 'Trade-In card' he set up for me; he had taken the deposit from there (£20), and I now only need to pay £80.. does this make sense to anyone else, or is it just me being blonde?
Thanks a bunch for your help!
Ben

Unless there are any explicit terms and conditions you were made aware of at the time id argue that the contract has been formed for the initial amount so they are bound to perform
I dont think this will be an issue so dont sweat it until a problem occurs.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
companies often change the terms as the release date gets nearer
early buyers like you get them sales
nearer the time they know more folks will be chomping to get the new toy0 -
I pre-ordered from gamestation a few days ago same offer £99 for 360 elite. Not checked if it has change as web site don't show offer. I hope if it has changed they honer their original deal.:undecided0

I bet if the price had changed in your favour though, you would expect GAME to honour it.0

Thanks for all the replies guys!
I was not made aware of any terms etc that could explain a possible change, although i remember signing a receipt (i believe this was just to say i have exchanged my console though).
The only thing that is slightly worrying is this is on their website;
'Trade-in and cash prices are subject to change.'
- beneath the offer:
Trade-ins must be in working order and of satisfactory quality. Trade-in and cash prices are subject to change. Imported consoles/games are excluded from trade-in, When trading in for cash prices may vary. Offer can be withdrawn at any time without prior notice. Trade-in offers are open to members of the public only and GAME reserves the right to refuse any offer to anyone believed to be representing a trade buyer. The managers decision is final. Offer ends 29th July 2010
As I said though - none of the above was explained to me in store when I set up my pre-order/deposit.0 -

As a customer, yes. Is it not standard procedure that a company must honour a lower price change to early pre-orders/purchases of a product, within a set period ie. 30 days?
Although, vice versa - if they increase the price, I believe I should be charged the said price/offer at the time of my transaction.0 -
As I am yet to pay the remaining amount, does that leave me open to pay the higher value total of £119.99 ?
Or as I have already placed my pre-order/deposit, should I only have to pay the original, agreed value total of £99.99 ?0 -
