[QUOTE=candyangel;36446739 do you get told what areas to do or can you choose?

no we get told what roads are available. if you know people in the area, by all means you can ask them if they would like to see a book, but you cannot just go and put books down anywhere in case a rep is already covering that road.

Do you have to pay for the books?

for your first 2 campaigns, you get 20 books free for each campaign, after that you have to buy your own. They cost

    Brochure pricing
Order in Packs of 5. Buy more and save more! Take advantage of discounted quantity pricing. Order more than 3 packs and additional packs are just 48p each. The prices below apply for brochures for the same campaign only, not a mix of campaigns.
Pack(s) No. of brochures Cost each Total
    1 5 brochures 63p £3.15
    2 10 brochures 42.2p £4.22
    3 15 brochures 32.4p £4.86

All Presidents Club members still qualify for a special price on brochures in 2010. You can now buy 20 packs of brochures for just £11.00, with any additional packs at just 48p each. Please note Brochures may not be returned for credit.

If so what do you do if you want to give books to 3 or 4 streets plus different areas surely that would cost a lot?

when you first start out, you should mark the front of your books, "if you don't wish to see an avon book, please tick this box, or please leave your address." Then you have an idea the first time, who does not want to receive books. This means your second time around, you are not wasting books on people who don't want to see one. To start with, the first 6 months, I would only buy 20 books. Plus, you can use your books more than once. The first campaign books, you can use on your second campaign, so you don't need to buy so many books.

What if you spend money on the books (if applicable) and don't get enough orders to cover the costs?

You still have to pay for your books, and there is a start up fee when you first join, £7.50 taken in your first campaign and £7.50 in your second campaign.

Also what is a realistic monthly figure to make?

    How high is the sky?

people's discounts vary from £10 to £250. Cannot give you a ball park figure, it really depends on your individual sales.

I know that would be hard as it probably varies quite a lot but i just wondered if there was a ball park figure

Sorry for all the questions but i am seriously considering this and would like to know a bit more about it before i sign up[/QUOTE]

:hello: if you haven't already, have a read of the first page and the first posts, they have quite a bit of information and then the thread has some commonly asked questions :)

my answers to you in red above.

goto My Profile, Preferences, and then you should be able to view all your settings. It has an option like hide show for everything.

In my area, there is only my  ASM and 1 other person. Not happy with my ASM removing me

Double check you are logged in as it has a habit of logging you out.

Go to profile. Right hand side choose edit profile. Might help.

  • Going back to the outstanding balance thingy, I currently owe for my last delivery (next order due in tuesday) but have checked and apparently I'm eligible for customer leads. It says it shows your first and last name. You can opt in or out of telephone numbers, city, county, email address. So I think the outstanding balance thing must apply to overdue balances rather than paying when we place the next order!

I just changed what notifications I wanted to receive, ie newsletter, etc. Saved it. Then tried to receive customer leads and it worked

I believe you do have to do something to opt-in to receive leads. It sounds like that was what it was !

Actually here's someone's reply straight from AC...
go into avon site and at the top right had corner click on my details
then press the preference button in the middle
it will then tell you wether you are eligable to recieve customer leads
then there are options what you want your customers see info wise
    hope this helps
