I've just signed up as an Avon rep and am finding all the hints & tips on here really helpful with my first campaign - thanks! :T
Does anyone know where I can buy little (50ml or so) bottles, like the ones they give you in hotel rooms? I'd really like to be able to give samples of new products like the French Lilac bubble bath in C12, but only seem to be able to buy the full sized product from HT.
Any ideas?
@MerryGoRound
I have bought a joblot of 3 x 50ml bottles in a zip lock bag from my local wholesalers. Let me know if you want some of them.0 -
Hi Amara
This is my first campaign as well, I delivered 40 books and when I went back to collect them there were loads not left outside the house, my aunt who gets Avon said that she prefers the rep to knock on the door especially for the first few times so that she can get to know who they are, so I went back later in the afternoon and delivered the brochures I got back earlier to different houses and knocked on the doors of the ones I didnt get back, got another order and spoke to a couple of people who would like to order next time but not this time. It is scary the first few houses but I have found that majority of people are really nice especially if you great them with a sorry to bother you and a big smile (either that or they think you are totally mad and feel sorry for you)

Amara, good luck with getting your books back. And yay to your ASM having more books for your.
Yes, when putting your books out, you should always put a note on the front to say please leave this book out on xx date as I will be collecting it then even if you do not wish to order. As I reuse these books. Most people don't realise we have to pay for these books and will have kept them or recycled them. So on the next batch, put a note on the front saying please leave out on xx date, I will collect it then.
And I hope you get lots of the other books back with orders0 -
Were they still sealed in the plastic?? If so it could be she's a rep who does f&f and she's had some books delivered/dropped off by her upliner.
No, that's what was weird, there was a whole stack of them, and they looked new, but they weren't packaged in anything, and had no order books or clearance booklets with them :-sBrand spanking new Avon Rep C12 £440.39 :j C13 £321.25 :j C14 £174 so far0 -

Maybe someone had just had an SL or ASM drop off spare books, even brand new spare books and they were coming back to collect them? ie they live at the top and were carrying things in bit by bit?
Don't be disheartened by this though! and don't let it stop you canvassing the area.
My neighbour 2 doors down - her daughter sells avon but in a different area and she used to have her avon delivered to her mum's house. I got a fright when I saw the amount of avon boxes going in there! She was doing really well! But she didn't cover my area
Good luck, hun.0 -
Right, have edited the first post to try and help newbies retain most of their books0
