ps.... does anyone have any tips on how to dry out books....a few of mine came back soggy from the rain!!
If you've got a conservatory you could leave them in there. They turn into furnaces in the summer so I've been leaving mine to dry out in there. I tried using a hair dryer once, but it made the pages separate out so the corner that was damp was twice as thick as the rest of the book (it had a similar effect that drying your hair with a dryer has compared to letting it dry naturally).I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

you can only order once from the current campaign, ie you get all your orders together and key them on at once or in bits but save them.
You would then submit this as your main order, and hopefully your total sales comes to over £78 to qualify for your 20% discount.
If you submitted 1 order at a time, you would be charged £2.50 for each order after the main order, you wouldn't receive any discount, and not sure when you get your deliveries!
Did the person who signed you up not explain the way Avon works? Or are they coming back when you need to submit your order and going to explain it all then?0 -
Did a big collection yesterday but only got a couple of orders. In terms of customer numbers I've got 8 that I know are interested from those streets (either I spoke to them and/or they left an order out), but order total so far is about £60-odd. Some customers have whole orders made up of things from the C14 clearance book, and I'm a bit worried stock will have run out by the time I place the order in C15. I noticed some things were still available in C15, so at the very least I should be able to get part of their orders to them. I might have a look through C15 and do a list of alternatives for them.
Had my first "crazy lady" experience, too. I suspected as much when I dropped off the brochure. I may need more sales this campaign, but in this case I really hope she doesn't become a customer. She's one of those people who, as someone on this thread put it, "was an angry person before you got there".
Still got more territory to canvas with C14 and C15 brochures to go out. Just waiting for my order to arrive! I'm tempted to take a picture of it all laid out.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. Hi,
New rep here. Just on my second campaign - No 14. Had a good start on 13 but not much now. Am only doing family and friends at the mo, and myself of course!!!
Saw on an earlier thread by Emily that she had posted an ad on Mumsnet. Could I ask whereabouts that was? I am a member on the site but not sure where to advertise myself - was it on the profile page or as a separate post?
I've just done an ad on Gumtree with some pics from the current brochure and will stalk the supermarkets on my next day off to see if there are any Avon ads there - don't want to tread on any toes.
Thanks everyone - fantastic thread.

Hi Ness,
It was me who posted the ad (my real name is Emily not MissyTheCat lol) - but it was on Netmums, not Mumsnet (very confusing as their names are so similar). On Netmums there is a section called 'Local Boards' and then in that section I posted my ad on the Noticeboard, where people post what's on, local services etc. I've actually just picked up the order from the second lady who requested a brochure after seeing my ad on there, and her order is for £50, woo hoo! The first lady who enquired after seeing my ad emailed her order over yesterday, and that one was for £25, so £75 worth of orders for a free ad on Netmums - I'm very chuffed. :j
I am going to place an ad each campaign, as the ads go on in date order so I guess people don't check that far back when they go into the noticeboard. Hope that helps!0 -
:)Hi,
Thanks so much - that's really helpful.
Worth a try. Well done with those orders. You just never know do you?

Ouch, i just got my finger stuck in a letterbox... this so reminds me of my paper round days! lol
On the upside, i took my first lot of books in today, out of 27, only 15 came back but i got 5 reasonable orders which came to £69 so not much more to get to MOV!!0
