    Hmm.. Not an easy one re. the wrong product.... Returning/applying for credit under:

    Code 69 - 'Alternative product received, not wanted' isn't really applicable i.e. unless Avon have confirmed on your invoice that they sent you a substitute

    and

    Code 54 - isn't accurate either as it's not actually true. (But does mean if you apply for a replacement that you'll end up with a free product.)

    It's taken me ages going in circles with this one - hopefully someone else has cut through all my confused thoughts and it's a really simple matter. :rotfl:

    As for the 3-in-1 cleanser, have ordered one for delivery next week - any good or should I cancel (it's for someone, who normally uses an Asda cotton wool wipe-over all-in-one product - thought this may be a good alternative - yes/no?)

    Well I thought it was a cotton wool one, then it says on the instructions put on face until you get a lather, take off with damp cloth, but it doesn't say wet face or anything. It's ok I suppose, only used it a couple of times though, normally use face wipes so have this as a back up.

    Couldn't fathom out how to do this online either, so I rang customer services and told them that I had one item on my invoice, and a different item in the delivery. They put some notes on my account, and did a credit & replacement manually.

    I did have to explain it 3 times though, so be prepared ...

    Hi Linzilp, hope party goes well :)

    on the first page, there are some links to Avon parties that people have done and what they have ordered, games they played, etc. Have a look there too.

    I know lucyclare did a lot of avon parties, unfortunately, she is not going to be on line until probably september, but she has a lot of helpful hints on what you should order, ie disposabal mascara wands, etc.

    This is what I would do.

    Log on, ask for an immediate replacement for this product, as the wrong product was sent, but correct product was requested. And put in the code of the product you actually want.

    I would do it as code 54, ordered and charged but missing from box, which it is.

    Then I would do a credit for the wrong product, 69, Alternative product received, not wanted.

    if when you have finished checking your delivery and an item is definitely missing, ask for an immediate replacement, code 54 Ordered and charged, but missing from box, make sure you tick the box at the bottom where is says Immediate Replacement, otherwise they will just send it with your next delivery.
