Blackberry sim in smartphone?

As far as i was aware, a blackberry sim would not work in any other phone because the web goes through the BES.

But i have seen a couple of people on vodafone eforum and hduk forum saying it will.

Will it or not work for definate?

Depends which network, some networks will allow web acess on a BB tariff, included in your allowance, others, ie O2 wont, and if you use a BB sim/tariff in another phone, you'll be charged for data access...AFAIK Voda and T-Mobile don't charge, not sure about Orange.

Hi,

Unless you had a 'standard' data bundle, you would be charged as the Blackberry data bundle would be for data through the Blackberry APN.

Blackberry APN travels over Orange/3 etc to BB's own compression servers so the data link is not international for internet, just over the network to BB UK servers.
