Well Jo, i'm trying to keep my wine drinking under control, so i have made a decision.... from now on i will only let myself drink wine on days ending with a Y!! :rotfl:

Any of the tea drinkers fancy a slice of chokkie fudge cake with their tea? It's meant for the bloke thats leaving at work tomorrow but i'm sure he won't miss a couple of icckle slices :D

Polar opposites in the BDINI house today, after a couple of really !!!!!! days today is the best ever due to opening the mail & finding a rather large cheque in respect of a PPI claim :j

Know i need to be sensible, so am thinking half on a kitchen (not an extravangance as currently my groceries live on a bookcase in the front room!!!!) £500 for a new fence (i'll put it up myself) & the rest to pay off a card.
NO SHOES!!!!!! (I have to keep reminding myself of this!!!!)

Thanks all for being there over the last couple of days & extra thanks to Spoon for keeping this thread going :A

Whoops had to edit this to add that today was also a NSD.... thats 7 so i' getting there slowly!!

A very sensible rule, BDINI, shows remarkable restraint - I wish I had your willpower :D

On the cheque front- how fab! Your purchases sound great too...we are hoping to do up the bathroom by the autumn.....sounds extravagant and unnecessary - until you have the misfortune of trying to have a shower at our place of a morning, you actually have to run around to get wet.

Oh and well done on the NSD! :T

    Hello NSDers

BDNI - congratulations for the ppi refund.

Number 13 for me please spoon, I have the oyster to top up today, but that's budgeted for.

I've decided not to spend on a new pair of trainers yet, because after clipping my toe nails, they feel more comfortable, and my friend suggested that if they got tighter after i washed them, leaving them in the heat on a very hot day might help stretch them back to the right size. It hasnt been very sunny over here, can't risk leaving them outside while i'm at work incase it rains - so will try that on my day off if its hot and sunny.

ANother NSD for me today - absolute miracle as I went to a local pamper evening tonight. 2 treatments included in the £5 ticket I bought weeks ago, but lots of drinks, cupcakes, jewellery and gifts to tempt me. My greatest success to date I think!
Finally, debt free for the first time since I was 18!:D

    I did it :T I really, really did it :T :T

4 different types of Danish Pastries I've not yet tried (in the spirit of I should really taste what I tray up, bake-off, pack and put out for sale) reduced to 29p a pack, and my favourite french stick (the 'Best' seeded one) reduced to 19p, and I didn't spend a penny :D

I [strike]managed to keep myself that busy[/strike] was run off my feet that much that I didn't have time to 'pass by' the clearance section for any of the other departments either ;)

So I can declare today as NSD #11 :T :T

Now the big question is whether I can manage it again next Wednesday - though I shouldn't have danishes to tempt me that day, due to the fact we bake them off every other day and they all get reduced the following day (with the exception of the croissants which are 'same day' reductions, which means I could be tempted by the almond ones ). So next Wednesday should be a bake-off day for them if they stick to the schedule, which means they're in clearance on Tuesday and Thursday (when I'm not on the late shift)
