Hello everyone :hello:
Feels like i've been away for ages!! Been a crazy busy few spendy days here, but the reason for this is good... my amazing dad (bless him) has topped up the boiler fund with enough to go ahead!! (think he was horrified at how bad my building site, sorry house, actually is when he came to stay recently)
So had to build a new wall & knock a last few bits down so the radiators can go in the right places which involved spending on DIY bits, but to be fair i haven't really bought anything unnecessary :A (normally i would have used these spend days as an excuse to buy junk!!)
So anyway, cheated slightly, drew all the money out yesterday for the boilerman, & the company coming to take away the huge amount of building rubble i have amassed & put it in envelopes, so won't be counting it as a spend when i actually hand it over as it went from the bank yesterday (is that ok Mistress Spoon?)
Am declaring today as NSD 1 now as i have no intention of going anywhere today apart from Wimbledon (of course!)
Elfen, i'd love a lift if your tardis will fit up my back alley? :rotfl:February NSD challenge 5/150 -

Everyone
How is everyone today?
I've been MIA I know but it's been a pretty roller coaster week.
On Monday, a good and longstanding friend called and explained that he was about to be made homeless, could he please make use of my spare room. I said yes, put the phone down and started panicking. Apart from my kids and my ex, I've lived alone ever since I left home 30 odd years ago. I've lived alone totally for the past 10 years since my divorce and have become very set in my ways. So it's a big learning curve, lots of discussions about bills, shopping and so on... all stuff I hate doing. Thankfully, he's taken himself off to visit a friend for the weekend, having realised what a big deal this is for me I think. So have had a day wandering around in my nightie and doing very little yesterday. Hence NSD 2 for me please Spoony
Also, Doctor took one look at my knee last Wednesday and signed me off for another two weeks.I'm getting well and truly peed off with not being able to do what I want now.
Can't wait to be able to run again.
Also I've applied for a job on Guernsey, fingers crossed for at least an interview. Morale is so low where I work that over 20% of the workforce is leaving at the end of the term. Huge turnover and about 70% of those that are there hate working there. Me included.
Anyhow that's the catch up from me. I'm impressed at how well everyone else is doing. esp CW, can't believe you did both hypermarkets and didn't buy anything.
Spoony, keep up the good work honey
Take care all0 -
