Hi Ice
I've just delivered two giant carrier bags and a suitcase full of old clothes to the charity shop and picked up a lovely pair of Next triple strapped Mary Janes while I was there. I've done a Post Office run as well so I'm feeling like it's been an organised-ish start to the day.
Outfit is:
Grey and white pinstripe shirt - River Island sale
White vest - Primark
Grey, black & white floral stretch skirt - Tesco
Black tights
Black & white heeled brogues - New Look
Black & silver beaded necklace - gift
Mary Poppins locket - Etsy
Pearl studs - Accessorize
Silver & quartz cocktail ring - craft fair
And a giant waterproof because the weather is awful again0 -
Morning (just about), lovelies!!
Lovely start to the day so managed to squeeze in a boot sale. It looks a bit glum now though.
Not a bad morning's work and on the way back I noticed some 1950's oak laboratory stools piled up next to a skip outside the boys' school. We asked the caretaker if we could buy a couple off him but he said we could have the lot for free as the school just wanted rid.
We're now the proud owners of 40 vintage stools (we did insist on donating a tenner to school funds , he wouldn't accept any more). :j
Just about to wrap parcels and do some eBay listing.
Sarah - that horse print blouse is one of the best things Dottie P have ever made, I love it!
Alex - If you do fancy a bit of Bollywood frivolity FilmFour are screening Bride & Prejudice on Friday evening - Jane Austin set in the Punjab and London, absolutely brilliant fun!!!
Today's outfit:
Vintage navy polka dot maxi (eBay)
Turquoise leather chappals (India)
Silver bangles and rings (India)
Filigree earrings (H&M via boot sale)
Vintage leather satchel (Charity shop)

I want one
Cheers for the tip Vix - I shall definitely try and watch it. I may still be struggling with the dress I'm trying to make though. You said it was easy! I ended up nearly crying in frustration over it last night0 -

I saw the dress version in our local DP quite recently. If I come across another one I'll get it for you. The blouses started off around £18 but my friend got mine for £4 in the sale!
Don't give up with the frock, I do loose my sewing mojo quite often and end up chucking stuff in the textile bin all too often.
There's a Bollywood version of Emma being released shortly. I can hardly wait!0 -
Hi all, naughty forum wouldn't let me post yesterday, really annoying. So would belatedly like to say that I am glad to see Daisy's brief visit *waves*
Me today (I'm in the office today so attempting smart):
Peachy pink coloured puff sleeved shirt - Howies
Tweed pencil skirt (Topshop via my new favourite local chazza shop for £1, it's from the tall range and I'm only 5'4 but I kind of like the length. And apparently mid length is the new maxi or some other marketing baloney)
Tan Mary Janes (Ancient new look)
Pearlly bead necklace (New New Look, thank you sale)
Cream cardigan (thrifted in San Francisco)
Normal straw bag with gubbins in (thrifted)
Unattractive but good for my back Eastpak laptop rucksack (TKMaxx):beer:0 -
Ooh I spy the dress version on ebay for BIN. Worth making a cheeky offer do you think?
I won't give up, I just need to stop being so stupid with it I think. I'm convinced it can't be as difficult as my brain seems to be making it.
Rainy - that skirt is such a bargain!0 -
Thanks Alex, this little hospice shop near me is a gem. Shows how over inflated a lot of charity shops are now days.
Anyone bagsed any bargains in the M&S flash sale? I recently won a £50 M&S voucher but have stuff coming out of my ears in our dinky little flat. However, the Aussie finds it hard to find bargainous stuff because he's so damn freaky (he's 6'7 and has size 14 feet!!) and has recently got a new job, so he has used the voucher to get these for a total of £50

I'm ever so proud of his bargain hunting skills. Thought I'd share as we don't get much bloke stuff on here:beer:0
