Some of ity seems to be 50% reduced, so that's not too bad, but then some of the cardi's have gone down from 38 to 30, which i still htink is expensive for a cardi!!
Added to which ,there is nothing on the sale there which I'm remotely interested in either?!0 -
Mia - hi to a fellow Scot! Not 100% sure which lace cardi you mean. I have a cream one from Urban Outfitters (now down to £15 in the sale) and I also had a Miss Selfridge black one on there, which I haven't bought but would so love!
xx
Its the urban outfitters one (I think). The ivory one? Its so pretty and at £15 I may well just have to buy it. Looks like it could be very versatile. Plus its not black. My colour spectrum of clothing tends to be erm black and grey :rotfl:.
Not seen the Miss Selfridge one (and I won't look or my bank account will hate me!).Make £10 a day challenge (August) - £175/£3100 -

cant decide if i like the shape of this or not..0 -
Wave a big hello to Mia!!
Good afternoon!! what a morning!! Have been around the charity shop in widnes and stumbled across a shop called 'shush' basically it's a shop where overmakes and rejects are at barganious prices:j Well didn't it turn up the most fabulos maxi dress, words fail me:j it's PERFECT. Every now and then u put something on and feel amazing on it, the print is quirky and the material is fabulose, i am very happy lady. Will put some picture up on photobucket later so you can have a looksey. It was £6 tbh i would have paid £60:eek: the shop had lots of monsoon, principles and ted baker most things hovered around 4-10 pounds.
I am completly sadles sore today so no bike ride!!
Wearing black linens (yawn) grey vest, peachy waist jacket, bangles and fringed sandles.
Alex, me thinks that we are so used to car-boot prices that anything over a couple of quid is:eek:
Goan, i was in a chazza shop this morning and saw a robert newman dress not to disimilar to yours yesterday, it was not to be as it was too small. Agree with you about river island, all wishy washy and £15 for anything is NOT a bargain:rotfl:
Bye for now Sharron xSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0 -
Wow, Sharron, great find. Sounds like the New Life centre we have in Cannock (but the proceeds are all for charity and it's so popular it can be a bit scary.) Can't wait to see your dress!
Fancy spotting another Robert Newman! What a bizarre coincidence that two people have decided to part with the same obscure label within a week of one another.
You're definately right about £15 being expensive. Car boots, charity shops and jumble sales definately spoil us.0 -
ooh yay, one of the guys at work has solved my iphone watching dilemma!!
will have to make do this evening, but he'll sort out a couple of discs from my lost box set which i still haven't got roiund to watching yet, so that i can watch them whilst in the gym0 -
Best to be patient and wait a few weeks, Alex. Monsoon do tend to discount very generously if they haven't shifted stuff straightaway.
Been for a trip into town with a friend. The owner of the posh second hand shop saved me a fabulous 1960's Indian-made tapestry coat and only charged on £7, what a sweetie!! Wasn't impressed with either the TopShop or River island sales, all wishy washy prints, floppy viscose and very overpriced. Did score some huge TS earrings for £3 down from £16, tho'.
Thanks for the warning Vix. I might pop into the one in town in a couple of weeks - am after some smart trousers and I really like the cut and fabric that Monsoon tend to use.
Coat sounds gorgeous! I found the River Island sale very disappointing too and only bought a shirt. I was tempted by some of the winter coats though but, as ever, they weren't in my sizeAlex - I had a wonderful time in Chester, thanks. Great friends who I hadn't seen in a year, lots of amazing home-cooked meals (not by me I hasten to add, I can barely boil an egg!) and lots of Pimms and fizz and G&Ts and...!
Sounds lovelyYou'll have to let us know if you're visiting again - there are quite a few NW based people on here and we could have a mini meet up.

I do but I think it's the sort of thing you'd need to try on to make sure it was flattering.
Second link just took me to the main Topshop page...sharronloves2spend wrote: »Wave a big hello to Mia!!

Quick, gimme directions! Can't wait to see the photo.
I do find it funny that Queenie, you and me were all lusting after the same pair of shoes at the car boot. That seller had some lovely stuff but I was most miffed it was all size 5 shoes and size 8-12 clothes!0 -
