I think you can downgrade the contract after 11 months so if you go for one of the cheaper contracts after this period you should end up not spending too much.

£4.99 a month for a year with 200 minutes is great. The phone is amazing for that sort of deal too. Even if you don't downgrade you'll still only pay:

    12 * 4.99 = 59.88 + 6 * 29 = 174 = 233.88

which is about £100 less that the phone would cost you to buy and that includes 200 minutes a month for 1 and a half years.

In my opinion not a bad amount to spend when spread over that long, works out at £12.99 a month which is still cheaper than most contracts and considering the phone included I'd say that's a bargain.

    If say after 11 months you downgrade to a £15 package you'll end up only paying: 59.88 + (6* 15) = £149.88

Which is only £8.33 a month.

Have I figured this out correctly because if so this is an amazing deal.
  • I am with T-Mobile already - have been for about 14 months now on a contract.

Is there any way I can take advantage of this offer and still keep my number and stay with T-Mobile?
  • I also want to do this (I've got a Forward Cellular rent free SIM which is about to end its 12 months min contract). AFAIK, this is possible but you have to transfer your number away from T-Mobile and then transfer back in. I think this can be done with a Virgin PAYG SIM card but can anyone confirm?

It might look good but is it good? Also, does T-Mobile allow free calls to make further calls cheaper? Need a new phone and was stuck between this and the Samsung D500 or Nokia 6230 but for the overall price this could be the winner.

    Thanks

well there is also a deal with 18months @ £14.50/month for the same 200mins on the 6230 (link as well) so theres very little in it cost wise.

  • Bought this online and it arrived today. It may not have all the functions some phones have but the camera is perfectly adequate for average photo size printouts and it is the most beautiful phone I have ever seen.

It's hard to describe and it makes me sound a lot more shallow than I really am, but havng one of these things in your hand is something else.

I'm not sure if the offer's still on but if it is I recommend it.
