I have some unexpected good news.
A client randomly contacted me to see if I could do some freelance work for him. It's nothing big (I'll probably get paid £100 at the most) but still, it was unexpected so it feels like I just won £100Insisti, persisti, raggiungi e conquisti0 -

Wow, that's amazing, good for you. It may only be £100 to begin with but if you do a good job next time it could be more - well done.

Yeah I know, and I have all weekend to get the job done as he doesn't need it until Monday so I have more than enough time to get it sorted.
Ever since I started looking properly at my savings everything seems to be going my way  And today in work I also won vouchers for ASDA (£35!!). Plus it was a NSP. This day couldn't have gone any better!
Hope it lasts

Need to crack on with some work this evening but just a quick update to say I reached the £900.00 mark, only 100 more pounds to go :j

I tranferred some extra money into the ISA so I have exactly £400.00 in my main account. I still need to buy my brother his jacket and all the stuff for his party, and other bits and pieces (that I've already budgeted for) so it's looking pretty good, I don't usually have so much money left in my account by now.
Where did all my money used to go?!?
After all expenses I am really hoping I can put another £70-100 away but we'll see. Determined to break the 1 k barrier.

Once you start saving that is the question you always ask. The answer is all the little expenses you didn't think about - coffee machine, sandwiches, chocolate, etc..For myself I am an optimist - there does not seem to be much use being anything else.

Hi fairtrade,
How's things been? That's so true, plus I think I have overbudgeted for stuff (as now I am much more careful with purchases) so it's hard to judge how much I am going to end up with at the end of the month. I'm guessing it'll take me another month or two to be able to estimate a more accurate outline of expenses.
Freelance work due tomorrow and it's taking much longer than expectedso will crack on now. Happy to report today will be a NSD!

That is the problem with deadlines
Remembered to take my letter and CV for job application that closes tomorrow. Luckily I go past the HR Department so handed it in myself.
Not much to report but I did get a book I was after - £55 on amazon, $20 plus postage from the publisher, £9-95 ebay, complete, new and unopened - hope that is the case when it arrives.:)For myself I am an optimist - there does not seem to be much use being anything else.

I am a bit concerned as the client didn't get in touch after I sent him the work, and usually he is always really reliable. If I don't hear from him by tomorrow I'll need to contact him again, I need to get paid!
By sound of it you've been very productive fairtrade, well done!
I have one "yay" moment to report, I found another €50 in my jewellery box, so that's a relief (I really thought I'd lost it, so glad it's not the case! I have just over €140 for my holiday - without having to exchange any money!)
Dad mantains he is paying me back €350 I lent him the last time he was here, and he's not taking no for an answer. I even said he can use it for his flights over as it's his birthday this month (I don't really miss the money as it's been so long since I lent it to him), but he won't accept.
I don't want to offend him so it's hard to be tactful about this. If he does pay me back I'll just have to find stuff around the house that he needs and get it for him. I know the one thing that would help him is fuel so I'll fill his car a few times while I'm over (at the very least, plus food etc which I have already thought about).
I was able to tranfer a further £45 off pounds into the Isa. So I have reached this month's target. Yay!!!
Off to bed now, got an early day tomorrow.
