Transferring my phone book

Hi,
I just got the nokia 7600 500 mins etc for £2.99 at carphone warehouse thanks to this fantastic site. My only problem is that I don't know how to transfer all the numbers from my old phone to my new one (without doing it by hand)
Do any of you clever moneysavers know how this can be done quickly and cheaply?

Depends on your old fone, but with most new nokias, you can choose if the numbers are saved on the SIM or the phone.. so copy them to the old or new sim on the old phone, then either leave them there or copy them to the new fone?

Might need to do it in batches if there are a lot of numbers and a set memory for fone and sim.

Trouble is that I think the 3 sim cards are bigger than regular ones so it won't physically fit into my old phone, which is a motorola T720i.

No problem - the 3 SIM is the standard size.

If you have multiple entries per name on the phone, I don't think the sim will do that, so you may need to change a few - ie Mark...M, Mark...H, etc, before copying old to sim.

I don't have huge experience as previous cheap phones did not have memory so I had them like this on sim anyway (12 char only?)

about your new phone - order & delivery date? (I'm just waiting to hear)

Ordered it on tuesday, got it this morning. They don't seen to have any idea though, bless 'em. I got transfered 7 times, 3 said they had none in stock and 4 said they had loads in stock. It turns out they have got the, but I think the offer ends soon.

i just got a 7600 too to save on phonecalls;)
does your old fone have bluetooth? then you should just be able to connect the 2 and send the no's across
have you got your email working? nice to have a new toy isnt it, just got to remember to save my statements to get the cashback, and cancel the free insurance!;)
