I can't copy & paste from the internet into a word.doc anymore?
I often copy & paste recipes. I want to copy & paste this jam one into a word.doc, but no matter what I try keyboard commands, right click, drop down menus when I go to paste it in there is nothing.

Can anyone advise please?
Can anyone else highlight & copy & paste the jam making?

I can copy and paste it no problem. I can't repaste it here for copyright reasons though.
I've had similar problems with my own PC from time to time and found that simply closing and reopening the browser usually fixes it and failing that rebooting it always does.
You could also save the page locally (File / Save as) and open the html document in a word processor as most support html these days.0 -
working ok for me im afraid0

2. Have you tried turning java off in the browser and this can be set to stop a page being copiedApproach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.0 -

Strange, I can do other web pages (from the mail) but not that one:(0 -
Indeed strange. Javascript can attempt to prevent copying (usually by trapping right click) but it isn't doing that on that page. How you turn javascript off depends of the browser you are using.
Why not just shrug your shoulders and save the page and open in in word as I suggested before.0 -
I can copy and paste it into Openoffice but then I'm using Linux.
You might be able to paste into Windows Notepad or Wordpad, then copy from that and paste into Word.
Anyway I've PM'd you the text so you may be able to copy and paste from that.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

To make 2.5kg (5lb 8oz) of jam, first wash, hull and pick through 1kg (2lb 4oz) fresh strawberries, discarding any blemished or overripe fruit. Handle carefully so as not to bruise them. To remove the hull, or calyx (the green leafy top), angle a sharp knife and cut in a circular motion around the hull and into the flesh beneath. Chop the strawberries into quarters and place in a large, heavy-based pan and add the juice of ½ a lemon
Add 450g (1lb) of jam sugar with pectin and stir together. Leave for 1 hour. Freeze a few saucers to test for the setting process later. Bring the pan to a rapid boil, skimming off any scum. After 15-20 minutes, take a frozen saucer and drop some jam on to it. Allow to cool for a minute, then push your finger in - if it wrinkles, it's ready; if not, continue boiling. Keep testing until the jam has set. Leave for 15-20 minutes to stop it rising in the jars
Spoon the jam into sterilised jars. Seal tightly with screw-top lids while the jam is still hot, and write labels with the date when they were filled. If the jars have been sterilised properly, the jam should keep for 6 months in a cool, dry place. (To sterilise jars, wash with very hot water or put through the hot cycle of a dishwasher. Place the jars on a baking tray and bake at 160C/gas 3 for 10-15 minutes. Keep them warm until you fill them)
