My recollection may be a bit hazy but were they not motivated for different reasons than the effect of monetarist policies and deindustrialisation?

And thats why the Bloody Sunday enquiry won't go any further. Martin McGuiness wasn't nicknamed the "Butcher of Derry" for no reason. He'll never give evidence as to what he was doing that day.

As a toddler then you won't remember the 2 plain clothes army guys that strayed into republican Belfast and ended up being publicly executed.....

And the Labour Party still don't appear to accept any resonsibility for what they've left behind. Listening to David Milliband today. Blaming the Government funding issues on a fall of tax receipts.

I remember it vividly.....They both had a pistol , frightend to death, did they shoot anyone??? No.........

They were stripped, beaten sensless and then shot dead....

They showed remarkable self control considering.....

Whats even worse is no one has been bought to account, given theres been umpteen Bloody Sunday enquiries we should have one for them too......

    All caught on film.

I remember watching it on TV.

    It was bad.

I could of sworn it was a scirocco but wiki says it was a passat.

I remember the car bits quite well, its stuck in my head & never left.

    Poor blokes.

We need some entrepreneurial spirit right now, in fact buckets of it.

For many it could be harsh times ahead. That said, it's down to the individual to carve out a living for themselves.

Change will create opportunity for some.

Somethings in life. Stick in your memory for some odd reason. I still remember vividly.

And that was before 24 hour instant news.

I guess its because at the time it was so shocking, watching the priest tend a dying man......

It wouldn't be as shocking now IMO because of 24 hr instant news, back then they would never have shown a dying man, it would be laying on the edit room floor......

Rubbish, whinging about thatcher , why don't you mention the power cuts in the 70,s? or the 3 day week that nearly crippled the whole country..............Having such a one sided view is a bit sad.

Nah , you live in the past and just block out the periods of history that dont quite fit your world....

!!!!!! move on, change the record and IF in 4 yrs time the present government have on the balance not done a half decent job come back and people might take you seriously..............

Coz if they have'nt many people who now hate Nu Labour and the mess they made may just change their minds......again

    Good night and God bless..........
