Because when people post threads like this about their advert they get their name about more at no cost, so ad did its job. Plus they can show of there skills and give a clue to what cars may look like in years to come.

They cant get the cars right that they currently make...

I've been driving Pugs since I passed my test in 87 & had no problems at all apart from the usual wear & tear.My late father also drove Pugs since Pug took over Talbot where Dad was a senior manager & never had any problems.
Worst car's I've ever drove are Fords & Vauxhalls with the MG Metro Turbo being the hellspawn of bad cars!(my first car!)

It's just building the brand image.

The same way that Audi and Mercedes have lots of adverts for their supercars. The market for them is tiny but it makes the brand/badge more desirable!

It's willy waving in the face of the new electric family of Renaults and the Nissan Leaf.

I'm all for defending Peugeot, they built some brilliant cars..... My 306 was a great motor.

The last 2 great Peugeot's however were the 306 Rallye and the 106 GTI, since those the entire range has gone soft, aimed at old folk and people who don't know what a good car should be like.
Peugeot always did and still do suffer with electrical issue's caused by the use of substandard wiring and connectors (which oxidise and rust over time).
I would happily go buy a good condition 306 GTI6 or Rallye, but I will never buy a Peugeot built in the last 9-10 years.

The car also looks like it melted after sitting in the sun too long and then it explodes into bits?
How does that tell me anything about peugeot at all?

It tells me everything I need to know about Peugeot!
