Only one user name can access the internet?

OK, it looks like your problem is wider than just connecting to the internet. It looks like your user ID's setup is in a muddle and the privileges for ordinary user IDs are wrong and possibly you are trying to save stuff into folders which you don't have privileges on.
As said before, you should not be connecting to the internet as admin - in fact you should only do admin tasks as admin.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
This just gets more and more odd. I'm on my mum's user name at the moment, and I've just downloaded an attachment I need to print out. It isn't printing so I've tried to save it to my username and access is denied. In the save as box, my name is in blue and my mum's is black.
I have to go now, but would appreciate any help and will try any suggestions when I get back in.
Thanks in advance
Ignore the blue and black thingyIt just shows that one folder has compression enabled and the other doesn't. There is no other difference. If you don't like the blue color you can disable it by going to My Computer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View Tab -> [ ] Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color.
Now to your other problem. In a multi-user OS nobody has access to other user's files, apart from the Administrator of course. However, Windows has a "Shared Documents" folder which should be visible when you open "My Computer". This folder should be accessible by everyone.0 -
I'm thinking corrupted profile
Can you logon the admin account (mum?) and then create a new user account called test or something, try and access the internet again and see if it works.
Also you may want to run things like malware bytes ,and spybot s+dOwner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them

Hi all
I created a test username and caouldn't access the internet. I then went on my Mum's profile and restarted the modem for the internet to work. I updated spybot and left it to do it's thing. It couldn't delete 4 entries funwebproduct (2 entries spyware) and mywaymywebsearch (2 entries PUPS), I restarted as asked and then waited for it to scan again and they are still on here.
I've come on here and didn't have to restart the modem! I'm going to update and run SAS and then try to access the internet on all usernames. Any other suggestions? Thank you for the help I've already received.Getting there... A deal at a time. :T0
