Feeling the pinch: anyone got a minute to scan my SOA?

Sorry guys, just to clarify: I have two large dogs and two cats.
The dogs are fed Autarky which is dirt cheap and VAT free anyway, and I get it at cost. JWB is a premium food, but because I economise by not offering wet food, I am unwilling to choose a poorer quality dried cat food for fear of risking their urinary health. I do, however, get all my pet products at cost price so I save a lot. Also the £50/month has to cover vaccine/worming/flea and tick treatments throughout the year.
I have managed to reduce my outgoings on pets from £80 to £50 but I guess the dogs could be rationed further by giving them Lidl pasta in with their breakfast!0 -
Eels100 wrote:. I desperately want to avoid suffering that 29.9%! I also have just got my latest 0% card which has no balance (yet!).
Monthly Debts
Debt Total Debt Min Payment Rate
Credit Card 1 £ 898.00 £~50 0.00 % for 3 months, then 29.9%
Credit Card 2 £ 40.00 £5 17.93 %
TOTAL DEBT £ 938.00
C'mon Eels...
you've a 0% credit card with nothing on it and you're paying 17.93% apr on one credit card and hoping you don't have to pay 29.9% on the other.
Transfer the £898 to the new credit card. If the new card's minimum payment is 2.5% then that's under £25 a month minimum payment. So you're saving £25 a month. Do the transfer at the right time of the month and you won't (i think) need to make the £50 payment as you've 'paid' it all off and then your payment on the new credit card won't need paying till after next payday. This means you can clear credit card 2.0 -

I'll check my paperwork and see if I can transfer my balances economically. But only for you, S_G0 -
if you can pay £300 a month off in 3 months you wouldn't need to post your SOA
How longs left on your internet and mobile contracts and who's the mobile contract with? i've just managed to batter the crap out of my mobile / internet bill by upgrading my phone.0 -

OK, OK, you got me!
Internet is AOHell and OH deals with that, but I know we're stuck in a contract and I'm fairly sure it only started in May when we moved
My mobile is T-Mobile and I'm certain I can half it by getting a better price plan. I do need to use it quite frequently unfortunately but would like to think I can half it. Don't think I'm due an upgrade yet but when I eventually  get to speak to a human being on their helpline I will see what can be done.
Looks like my balance transfer might be free ... hmmmmm ...
Time to ditch the denial, perhaps?0 -
i have a t-mobile phone that i rarely use. Talk 3000, 3000 minutes to t-mobile and landlines a month for £20, as i rarely use it they've knocked me down to the lowest tarrif of £15 a month till the contract runs out.0

OK the new Tesco card is 2% fee for balance transfers and it's interest free until March. So, if I swap it all to Tesco then throw £200 at it a month I would clear the lot, leave us a few pennies (and a lot of Clubcard Points!) spare for Christmas and then I can cut the card up. And meantime OH will hopefully land some work.
It's always so easy to see what people ought to be doing with their money until it happens to yourself, then it suddenly becomes desperately confusing! Why is that?!
Thank you all.0
