Virgin Media and credit checks

Hello,
We were discharged from bankruptcy almost a year ago and since then have not attempted 'credit file clean-up'.
We have Sky TV (for past 5 yrs) and now would like to switch to Virgin. Reading the small print it says 'subject to status and credit checks'. Status is fine (both employed/home owners)...but credit check!?! AAArrrrrggghhh.
Anyone have any experience with them?
Many thanks x

They will do a Credit check but if your score is too low they will set a Credit Limit up on your account.0 -

They may also ask for a deposit. They did with us (£100 IIRC). If they do it will be applied as a credit to your account if you ring and ask for it back after 6 months of clear billing0
