Got to disagree there, personally I believe that one to be a classic, anyone who can actually sing a song about 'Pi' and bring it off is a genius.

Spot on. "Ariel" is in fact a masterpiece, the last truely great concept album and certainly my favourite album from any artist of the noughties. It requires a few listens, but if you want something intelligent, beautiful and enchanting, as well as deeply personal at times, rather than the usual pop offal, then this is for you!
Otherwise go and buy a steps album ;)
  • Kate Bush fans might was to check out the debut album from Marina and the Diamonds - distinctly Hounds of Love flavoured in places - indeed Hermit the Frog sounds like it could have been an out-take

Tori Amos is also a must - although her most recent album was a tad ropy - start with Little Earthquakes, Under the Pink and From the Choirgirl Hotel.

Kate's best album is certainly Hounds of Love, although I have a big soft spot for Sensual World - This Woman's Work is possibly one of the most heart rending songs ever.

For Kate Bush - The Kick Inside and Ariel. One of the other posters mentions Ariel but has called it A Sea of Honey. In fact, there are two discs - one is A Sea of Honey and the other is A Sky of Honey. So if you're looking for A Sea of Honey as a separate album you won't find it. I've loved Kate Bush for years, everything she's done is quality but Ariel makes me cry it's so perfect, especially the second disc.

Re. Stevie Nicks - bit 80s poprock for me. Much prefer Fleetwood Mac.
