This thread should be read by all those howling about what they see as unfair reforms to the Welfare State.0

I am just wondering why do you refer to him as your partner(as opposed to boyfriend or something else) if you don't live together?'Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans'-John Lennon

This is a wind up, surely? :cool:0

One would hope, although sadly not!! Committed enough to have sex with each other, committed enough to conceive a child together, but not so much when it comes to living together, incase the 30k wage isn't as good as the cash-cow that is IS!!
I've heard it all, and damn my hands, my bum clearly isn't big enough to contain them!0 -
June 2010, a child of nearly 10 and a new baby - why does that remind me of something?0

However, I have recently discovered that I am pregnant, so will I stay on Income support or go onto ESA or JSA because of my change in circumstances and at what stage in my pregnancy do i need to inform the Job Centre? Also Im not living with my partner, he works full time and earns over £30k a year, if we moved in together I'm guessing my income support, ESA or JSA would stop along with Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit as they would consider that I can live off of his income?? Can anyone help with just letting me know what benefits I would be entitled to either on my own or together as a couple with a new baby and 1 child of 10. Thanks for any help.
Why are you not living with your partner?
I think you should move in together, and im sure that you as a couple will be able to get WTC & CTC ( forgive me if i'm wrong tho, dont really understand the tax credit system)
I dont understand people who ask what benefits they would be entitled to either on their own or as a couple.... when its a 'couple' that makes a baby.... Its like some people want to weigh up their options first to see how much money they can get from benefits , Perhaps some people should weigh up their options on having more children or not....."I live my dream today, I lived it yesterday and I'll be living yours tomorrow":smileyhea

Good luck coping with the DWP looking in to benefit fraud in your case, you have a 'Partner' as you call him he earns 30k a year and yet you still claim Income Support, it makes me mad to be honest i came off income support and my partner earns 15k a year with top ups we get 23k a year and yes we pay full rent and council tax and i have twins aged 12 one is disabled, you are pregnant by him so of course the dwp will be suspicious come off benefits before they take you off them:AAutism isn't the end of the world just a journey to another one:A0 -

Partner's income is too high for WTC; but they can claim CTC.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
