Three will let you set a credit limit of £0 on your account, the only thing they cannot limit is international roaming as these charges are made by overseas networks
However you just limit it yourself and switch roaming off
I work for Three and do this many times a week, usually for parents buying contracts for the kids and i'venot had a single person come back to me saying they have gone over
As far as i know they are the only UK network that allows a £0 limit0 -

However three themselves say in there terms and conditions they do not guarantee it will work, and it should not be relied on for budgeting reasons0 -
We do however offer the chance for a zero limit to be set also you can check live on the phone your remaining mins and texts,
the only way a customer can exceed a preset credit limit is a complete billing systems failure so that t and c is in there to cover that unlikely event and even if it did the downtime would be extremely short as it would knock out a load of other key functions such as upgrades, my3 etc so the chances of running up a bill are extremely minimal0 -

I wasn't saying it wasn't hard so set, it's just Three's T&S specifically say it does not guarantee that this will work and if it fails you are still responsible.
Lasst bit of Section 6.17
You should not use the credit limit for budgeting as the amount you owe is not capped or limited by any credit limit we set.0 -

Three were very unhelpful when I asked them to do this on my daughter's account & said it was a safety issue and they wouldn't!0 -

Was that in a shop?
I don't think I have seen a Three shop without a whiteboard outside advertising this for about six months.0 -

I shall try them again!
Go into the store and ask them to call retail support for you and get them to do it0 -
