Are they decent blades you've put on or pound shop things? Often they take a while to stretch to the shape of the windscreen, so may just get better with use. Also try bending the actual wiper arms (not the blades) a bit. Be careful doing this as you can do it too much and make it worse.

I'm not taking the mick here but are they on the right way round?

I know the Tesco curved ones are easy to put on the wrong way round and will squeak like hell if they are.

Give the windscreen a really good clean and then wipe the blades with a cloth with a small amount of WD40 on it.

I wouldn't mate - it'll cause smears. Better try vinegar (althouth the 'bending the wiper arms' slightly has always worked for me in the past)

WD40 also causes rubber to swell

Give the blades a good wipe with either vinegar or meths.

    No no no, stop it!

The windscreen is greasy/oily, the blades don't fold over as they should (when they change direction) and so they squeek... You need a decent alcohol based glass cleaner, get that screen as clean as possible.

Toothpaste on a damp cloth is a good windscreen cleaner.
