Maybe he should invite us all up there for a meal.
Even if it was free, I'm not sure I'd be in a rush to eat there again ... not very money-saving I know, but I'd rather pay my own money and go to Papa Browns, or over to Ballyrobert/Ballyclare for Barnabys/Bambou.
I noticed yesterday they had banners advertising their bridal open day - hopefully they've spent the last few months renovating the place and training their staff!0 -
And don't you love his assumption that only people from outside the local area are allowed to stay at his hotel? :-)0

Haha, I checked back on this thread as another lady left a review on Tripadvisor saying the owner keeps reviewing his own hotel (said review has now vanished, I can only assume he got her to remove it somehow, or even, shock horror, apologised to the woman). The chap does seem to keep shooting himself in the foot, on one of his faked reviews (in response to mine) he put that he (or she, as he was masquerading as) got a nice room as he (she) didn't leave it until two days before NYE to book...given my review made no mention of when we booked our room it was all rather tragically transparent, even if I hadn't stumbled across other people saying exactly the same thing re. him writing his own reviews.
It'd be funny if it wasn't so daft.
Mr Wilson, if you're reading this I just want to say that it doesn't take much to run a hotel reasonably well and deal with complaints in a fashion that won't hack people off even more than they already are. Please buy some books on hotel management and customer relations before you run your establishment totally into the ground. It'd be sad to see somewhere with such nice views close down due to your apparent egomania.
P.S. don't mention the war.0 -

I'm quite serious when I say that the owner of this establishment should consider contacting the local Bbc/itv and pitch a reality show like the hotel on channel 4. I think it would turn into tv gold and no doubt boost the turnover of the hotel to boot. Btw I'm not taking sides as I've never stayed there but this thread has left me in stitches.0

I do hope they address the issues raised and turn the business around.[STRIKE]Less is more.[/STRIKE] No less is Less.0

The "Marketing" guy Greg was just a bar man doing a few jobs within the hotel. He seems to just pass info onto his boss.
I'll just mention that I have dealt with them in a business capacity but our company will have nothing to do with them anymore. Very bouncy cheques.
From what I know he is no longer there, the place seems so unorganized and I would never set foot in it for food ... I have been in the kitchen.
Makes me laugh that they are now spending ££££ on advertising a lost cause, they should be spending it on making the place habitable.
Also, seriously, the people esp the woman that answers calls needs a crash course in customer service.
This is my opinion only as a past customer, only within business did I see behind the scenes.0 -
Just seen their Scores On The Doors...
No thanks, I'll pass.0 -
