it is stupidly well hidden - there's a phone number in the FAQ section (0870 777 9339), from the FSA docs it shows that they are based in Brentwood, in Essex. Given what they do, ie medical screening based on a number of questions they have to ask you, it's not surprising that they dont work by post, but they could have made it easier to call them...

I have had a really good quote from:

I would give them a call - they were really friendly, polite and got back to me straight away with a quote.
    Highly recommended
This company now called https://www.covermytravels.co.uk gave my friend & his wife an excellent quote, nearly £200 less than anyone else for a 17-day trip to the USA & Canada.
He has had heart problems (3 attacks) and is over the moon with this policy.

If your Mum is not going to travel again this year or more than one other time she will be better off getting single trip insurance. Tesco will insure her.

I am recommending them as I had to be hospitalised while on holiday last year and my Tesco travel insurance was wonderful. They sent out an English Doctor to accompany me home, we were bumped up to business class and there was transport waiting each step of the way.

I have just contacted Tesco..they dont Insure over 65 years of age Im told..

Yes they do - there is NO upper age limit for single trip cover but for annual cover you have to be under 74.
Their online booking only goes up to 64. Over 64 you have to telephone 0845 300 8800 and they will give you a quote.
I just rang up to check and was told they have just insured an 88 year old lady travelling round the world - including a trip on the Trans-Siberian railway!

Have a look at the Help the Aged website - https://www.helptheaged.org.uk. They offer travel insurance cover with no upper age limit. This is a very useful site, covering an enormous range of topics for those over 50.

With any travel insurance, pre-existing medical conditions and medication should always be disclosed, where requested, as failure to do so could result in the insurance being declared invalid. Not a good outcome when you are ill or injured!

We get our over 65 travel insurance from https://www.staysure.co.uk who are always very competitive (although we don't have medical problems, so can't judge here). Have a look at their over 65 section on the web site.

If you are located in the UK http://www.travel-insurance.net/ always has competitive rates. I have used them for single trips in the past.

I tried loads of sites for assisting a74 yr old from church with insurance for the USA.
www.flexicover.com was the cheapest. this was one of Martins' tips on the insurance site.
However USA is the most expensive cover.

£58 for 9 days. ouch! The benefits of being over 65, was a cheaper flight and cheaper bus and cheaper hotel! So not all bad?

I just got mine & DH for two weeks in Turkey about 2 hours ago.
    I used www.moneysupermarket.com & the cheapest was flexicover.com, at £13.50 for us both for 2 weeks, I took it:D
