We never used pull ups....without being cheeky, can someone explain to me the point of them ?

For littlies.. if they are stripper they sometimes deter them from being naked at every opportunity.. like my niece who can undo and whizz her nappy out from under her clothes.

For potty training they are useless as the child just thinks they are a nappy.. which they are.

For older bedwetters they are good because they are not tab fastening like baby nappies which reduces some of the stigma about wearing them for bed. they are also easy to pull up and down when they do wake in the night to use the toilet.

That is exactly the reason I use them. My wee one will sometimes wake at 3 am wanting a wee, and it is much easier and less sleep-disturbing than having to get a nappy off and on again. they are more expensive, but we sometimes get a few nights out of one, so they go far.
By the way, I got a reply from huggies today. They apologised and agreed that something wasn't right with the nappies I bought. They are sending me some vouchers in the post, yippee!

Right thanks, I thought they were marketed as a potty training aid, but I see why people might use them for other things. Thankfully DS was mainly in real nappies and only rarely removed them, and so far is not a bed wetter. Thanks again - you learn more when you just ask lol :)

 Would you wear the same underwear for a "few" nights?!
  • I had to buy the pink princess ones for my boy (and took pics for his 18th!) the other week - gearing up for dry nights. No problems like that with them - perhaps it was a dodgy batch?!

We have gone free willy now and all good! :)

When DS was toilet trained daytime and pretty much a night time too we re-used the sposies for a couple of nights as they were not wet. He was pretty much a real nappy baby so those were re-used, of course with washes in between.

I have no problem reusing a pull-up a couple of times, if it is in decent condition. Obviously if it was a bit smelly or whatever, I wouldn't, but if it is clean and dry, why not?
