Rubbish quality Huggies Pull-ups. Anyone else noticed?

I recently bought a packet of Huggies Pull-ups, the pink Disney princess ones. Must have had a voucher for them, or they may have been on offer as I usually use whatever is cheapest.
Anyhoo, I couldn't believe the poor quality of them. When I took them out of the pack they were hard, and I mean HARD. Imagine, you had let newspaper get soaked, then dried it out in the sun and it was really hard. You get the idea I hope. I have had to massage each one to get it soft enough to put on my wee one. we are just using them at night as she is finally dry in the day. If she doesn't wet them, by the next morning, they are so lumpy, they literally feel as if they have stones in them.
Has anyone else noticed this problem? Or could it maybe be a rogue batch? I emailed customer service today about it, so it will be interesting to see what response I get.

I buy those for my LO - nighttime only. Last time I bought some, there was an offer 2 for (I think) £8, and they only had one of the old packs in, so I bought an old pack and a new pack. I've actually found the new ones lighter and just as absorbant, so it sounds as if you have a faulty packet - could they have been dropped in something, so they've already been soaked in water?

    Hi,

When my daughters were small lidl sold pull ups which were actually very good, much better than some of the brand names. I can't remember the name but might be worth having a look if you have a lidl close.

i've switched to the underjams for my DS as well they are far superior in quality to the pullups and they are a £1 off in wilkinsons at the moment. I have had a similar problem with the huggies little walkers too for DS2 they seem to be what i would describe as crispy until you move them about a bit its very odd never had the lumpyness though :-)

One of my old colleagues used to work for Proctor & Gamble who make, among many other things, some nappies. Apparently the customer relations department regularly received presents of used nappies to demonstrate some fault or other with them....

I agree about the Lidl ones. They are pretty good and cheaper than the rest. I only ever buy brand name ones if they are on offer or if I have a voucher. Been lucky lately. Always seem to have had a £1 off voucher at the same time that they have been reduced in Sainsbury's or Tesco. If only everything else worked out the same way!!!!

Pampers easy ups seem to still fit my little girl and keep her bed dry. She will be 5 in August and is showing no signs of being dry at night. Oh well. No hurry.

If you sign up to supersavvyme, you get a free sample of an underjam, & a voucher for a whole pack too.

It was an offer listed on here ages ago, but still working as I ordered another pack (to my PIL's :D) yesterday.

Thanks Sooz. I just ordered mine. I had received a coupon for a free pack from Tesco, and they never had them in stock when I went in, and now the voucher has expired. Do you think they would still accept it? Think it expired end of May.
