Zooplus

Hi all,

Is it me or have Zooplus started charging for delivery?

I ordered 36 tins of Bozita catfood last month which cost me £36. I think it was £11.99 for 12 410g cans.

I noticed the price has increased to £12.99 but that a £3.90 delivery charge was also added this time. I know £3.90 isn't much when you think of the weight of 36 cans but my bill was £36 last month and now it's £42 :o

Anyone else notice this or did I miss something??

Thanks :p

Yes they started charging shipping over a year ago. I am in Northern Ireland so they upped our charge with Scotland where it used to be just UK delivery so we pay even more in shipping.

So I stopped buying from them. A local guy does me a deal I buy 10kg Royal Canine at a time and I get free delivery to the door and a loyalty card too.

"Within the UK, all prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT and carriage, postage and packaging if the total order value is in excess of £19.00. For all orders less than £19.00 we will charge an additional shipping fee of £2.90. Please note that shipping to the Highlands, UK Islands and Channel Islands incur a postage charge"

This is from the current t and c's on their website, so might be worth querying if they've forgotten to update, as if you're spending over £19 it should be free. The home page also says the same, so it's looking like you've been overcharged, unless you specified a faster/special delivery.

Thanks for that, I did think it was free on orders over a certain amount so I will check. It did ship pretty quick though so I wonder if I chose a quicker method.

    Thanks

Think what you saw might be out of date, I found this so looks like the minimum order has gone up to £39 :(

Did you order from Zooplus.com rather than .co.uk? All those prices are in euros rather than pounds.

Zooplus.co.uk still says free shipping when you spend over £19

Last week I ordered their Jumbo cat litter box and my order came to over £19. I got my delivery for free. Also if you do a shop as if you are buying then you will see that you are not charged for delivery for orders over £19.

I just put in a pretend order in for an order that came to £19.16 , and the shipping was showing as zero on the shopping cart.

    Did you go to checkout?

I just put something in the basket that cost over the £19 threshold (£19.47), went to checkout and postage is definitely free for me.

Just tried it with less than £19 (£17.94) and shipping is £2.90
