Cheap calls from O2 mobile from MIddle East

Hello,

I hope someone can help.NExt week i start a new job touring through the middle east. I will get phone and sim cards out there for work related goods. I still want to keep my current O2 /carphone warehouse phone so i can stay in contact with family. i have adn will continue to reduce the tariff each month as my contract isnt up unitl Sept. Can anyone please advise on what the cheapest way is to get people to call me or for me to call them or is there is a number in England they can call to reach me cheaply and wont cost me as much cash?

to call out tesco is cheap but receiving calls not so much
