Just proves what a bunch of rip off merchants Sainsburys are compared with Joe Walmart

Are you sure Sainsburys is 11p, I am pretty sure it is the same at 7p. They are all Coinstar I believe and therefore the commission is the same?

Even so I am too tight to give them 7p in the pound, I rather like counting it myself in a Scrooge like manner, its rather satisfying. :o

  • ask the local pub for empty bottle
or is there old fashioned sweet shop by you get one of their jars and cut slot in lid put long screw through the lid and bottle.......puts you off dipping into it
    they only bin them
or at asdas at the mo theyve got the above mentioned popcorn buckets now for 75p
and if you count it yuorself no one gets your money and it passes the time its also a fab ego booster to see how much you have saved
  • I use a 5 litre vodka bottle that I got from a pub I used to work in years ago. Maybe if you're a regular at a pub ask if they'll save you one? It obviously doesn't sort the denominations but I enjoy counting them out. I save all coins up to 10p and count it out before xmas and it pays for my extra nights out over the festive period, or could be used towards presents. Last year I got about £120
