The coin sorters are not that good, I have one but the problem is the tubes do not match the amounts on standard bank bags, so you have to count it again anyway....

You used to be able to get a manual one like the kind of thing you see on charity boxes, the coins would roll down and drop into the correct slot, and this was good, but I have not seen one in years, would love to get a modern one!
My Mind wanders, if found please return.
  • can't help on it counting them but for spare coins i bought a bucket of popcorn from ASDA for £1.99, ate the popcorn and now i've got a bucket with a lid and handle for my spare change.

We use a 2L jack daniels bottle and have used 3L vodka bottles in the past - at least you'd have a good time getting rid of the contents first!!!!!

  • Sainsburys take 11p per £1.

    Asda takes 7p per £1. :p
    :A I love MSE!!! :A
  • heres my idea :) get an old corkboard and put it in the kitchen then staple/pin money bags/socks to the notice board, above each sock write the denominations, the sort if before you put your trousers in the wash, when the socks are full either take to the bank or pour in a larger bag, hopefully you will have that all at home so it wont cost you a penny very mse :D ...well it was a good idea when i thought about it  :rotfl:

I thought you were going to say "and when the socks are full put them in the Washing Machine" - That would get you arrested, for Money Laundering....:rotfl:
