I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

BobProperty wrote:Sorry but so what if it "abuts" a listed property. If it's listed, they will have a great deal of difficulty. If it isn't listed then they will have to apply for planning permission to extend it. On what basis are "all" the other flat owners going to object? Bearing in mind someone "making money" out of it isn't a reason to turn down planning permission.
Hi,
I would imagine that the 50 off flats already in the block would object on some of the following grounds
1) There will not be enough garages/storage sheds for a new floor of flats
2) The communal gardens are small and just about big enough for existing leases
3) There are six floors already (including ground floor) thought more than that was viewed with disfavour by lendors
4) The lift and fire escape have heavy wear and tear as it is and could not cope with another 10 or so flats
5) No other building around here is that high
6) those with balconies on the top floor who have paid for the privilege will now be overlooked
7) Parking is already over subscribed here
8)last but not least hammersmith and fulham planning are @@@@@@@@'s if you want planning0 -
BTW does it have to be offered to resident association first?
Not sure why we all got the auction details0 -
You probably got details in case anyone wants to convert their (currently) top floor flat into a luxury duplex loft pad.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. 1. Is a planning issue but isn't necessarily a "deal breaker" (wasn't for me but I'm not in London)
2. Not a planning issue, or hardly, this is London we're talking about.
3. Not a planning issue.
4. Who says there will be 10? Might only be going for 2 luxury penthouses. Also could be a Building Regs issue not a planning one.
5. So what's the objection? and define "around here".
6. Not a planning issue.
7. see 1.
8. So they appeal to fatjag's department and get it on appeal. Nothing new there, ask Tesco.
Edited to add wasn't the Channel 4 penthouse on a listed building? Couldn't see a reference to it on the web, who remembers?A house isn't a home without a cat.

I couldn't see one, it just said no reserve
Nothing on the details I was sent either?
Ps when I opened covering letter, I got a shock..it said we are selling this and you are the occupier..then i realised it was the roof!0 -
Sounds like it could be worth a phone call on Monday to get some idea. If they are looking for a good 6 figures then I'd assume it's going to be possible to develop it. I'd keep an eye on planning applications too.A house isn't a home without a cat.

They are selling off three other roof spaces on blocks they have freehold of...all at no reserve price....
First I had heard of this practice...interesting0
