Love the C0stco frozen chicken breasts - come individually wrapped, and don't shrink when cooked (no added water)
The (unsmoked) bacon was also brilliant (I'm not much of a bacon fan, but bought some for 'odd times' and loved it)

    Tiger loaf
    Kiwi's
    Carrots

I have some fresh fruit salad in fridge, need to make more tomorrow and as not a morning person wanted to have stuff in today. Need some kiwi.

Have a brown loaf but I am addicted to tiger loaf at minute and only have a few slices left, now I know if I buy once today the brown will not all be used, if I do not buy it we will all use the brown.

Want to make soup for tuesday and thursday lunch, have all the ingrediants except carrots , wanted to make it tonight.

I also know if I go to asda to buy 3 times I will buy more lol Cannot got to another shop as asda is acually the closest shop to me lol Can someone tell me not to go please? Really wanted a NSD today.

DOELANI - Eat the brown loaf first so as its not wasted and the tiger loaf will taste so much nicer when you do get it. ;)

Do you REALLY have to put kiwi in your fruit salad, would something else do instead that you already have? :D

As for the carrots ???? erm is there anyone who would pick a few up for you as they went shopping saving you from going and spending on other things. :)

Let us know if you resisted the shops or not:rotfl: Good luck and think how much you will save today if you dont go to the shops.;)

Arrgh I can't fit anything else into the fridge or my two freezers!!!

Just been to Iceland and spent £15.50 (that includes a £2 pack of cooked chicken pieces (for emergencies) that thelady forgot to scan through:j

I then went to MrM's armed with my £45 for this weeks food - I bought up half the shop but still had £10 left! this included a pork shoulder joint for £5 (easily 3 meals out of it), and on their 3 for £10 I got 1.5lb mince (enough for a lasagne and cottage pie so 4 meals) and a whole chicken (so that's another 2-3 meals)

I now am starting to see that my budget is a lot at I still have £130 left for the next 3 weeks, plus £7 I didn't spend last week - I think this will be a lightbulb month!!! :A

just off to update my sig!

    Afternoon

I've spent £21.40 today as I'm trying to set up some NSD's - I've had none so far :(. Need to stop the daily shops again! I've also made some bread, cake and onion soup which should help.

I'm trying to last til Thursday morning when I'm going to have to have a little A*da delivery because T*sco did not bring me enough water (I know, blame OH!) to last til next Tues which was plan A.

Recovering spendaholic - I definitely think that A*da is cheaper than T*sco and I'm going to stick with them for now as I'd rather have a cheap shop than points ATM.
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

My dad picked me up and took me to the hospital earlier today. My dressing has been re done and the nurse said it was all healing really well :) I asked how they had put the pins in my toes (I had 2 thoughts of how) and wish I hadn't asked now. Eeek!!

Anyway, afterwards we went to Lidl as I needed some bits and after attempting to pay for mine and my dad's bits, he started to pack and then paid for it all. Grr! I tried to hide some money in his car on the way home but he wasn't having any of it, so thank you daddy! I got some spread, hand soap, pitta breads, tinned sweetcorn, milk, eggs, lettuce and spring onions. I'm back at work tomorrow and will be using some wraps and chicken from the freezer for lunch with the salady bits from today.
