Spent £6.84 today. Really dissapointed though, bought mince to make lasange for tomorrow and when I got home did not have enough milk to make white sauce. Used a packet of cheese sauce mix I had, just add water. I have used this before for caulifower cheese and been nice, in lasagne was not nice

I had a little bit to taste it and just not right, oh well will know not to do that again .

Hopefully will have a NDS tomorrow.

kirsty822001 - SO sorry to hear about your wrist - so painful at first. Once it settles down hopefully you'll find you can manage to do quite a bit. It's a real nuisance about work though.

When I broke my right wrist I worked out ways of doing most things, and was even able to knit! Not only that, I went on a demonstration to Greenham Common with my arm in plaster! I didn't drive then though, so that wasn't the problem to me that it was a few years later when I broke the other one. (Fortunately I'd retired from work by then.)

    Will be thinking of you.

Went to Lidl yesterday for a few essentials, total cost £22.37. DP and I weren't overly impressed with the range, so I don't think we'll be doing any main shopping there, but I compared what I bought with other supermarkets on mysupermarket, and I did save on most of it so I'm pleased with that!

Haven't spent anything of my £100 budget for July, but Mum phoned earlier and asked if i could take her Morrisons tomorrow as Dad is unwell. Of course, i said yes, so tomorrow will be a spend day for me as I will probably buy some groceries myself while i am there.

  • Well wonders will never cease! DD1 went to Asda this afternoon with me and when I got to the till she offered to pay - without even a gentle hint from me!! She paid the £20 and I thought I would have a NSD but when I got home ex DH had come round and brought me a huge pack of chicken thigh fillets from Costco so I had to give him the £13.50 for them - mind you I will get quite alot of meals from that box - I portioned them up and froze them tonight. I haven't been in Asda for a few weeks as I have been taking a car-less friend to Tesco and have been getting stuff there and I have to say I was struck by how much cheaper Asda seemed to be than Tesco. Does anyone else find that?

DH went to Mr S today for our weekly shop, which included some liquitabs (the first lot I've bought this year as I've done a few surveys where they've sent me some :T) and a cake fr DS2's birthday on Wednesday. I am making over 30 cupcakes for his class for Weds and another cake for his party on Sunday, so I don't feel too guilty about getting a shop-bought one. But as they had no fondant I had to buy some in Mr A, which wasn't a special trip as we were going to the cinema just over the road from there.

    Therefore I'm adding £72.37

    Hi All,

Just updated sig with NSD - we haven't spent anything since Friday and won't be today either so very pleased that we're heading toward the target.

I will need to do a shop tomorrow though probably at MrT as a lot of things are looking low. I have said to OH though to only request things we really really NEED over the next couple of weeks. I have to recoup some of the horrendous 'other' unexpected bills from last month. ;)

Have a great day all, welcome to newbies and hugs to all who need them.

    Take care,

Spent €14 in farmer's market, and another €2 on bread and milk over the weekend. We shouldn't need much else this week, apart from some chicken for tonight. DD is away for the week, and we are using up loads from stores.

I also hope to get to the plot either this or tomorrow evening, where I should get peas, broadies, and lots of soft fruit!!
