Best retention deal for Sky HD

Hi
I got SkyHD over 12 months ago. I'm just not watching as much TV as I thought I would, so I don't really feel I get enough use out of it. I'd probably cancel it, though I was wondering what the best retention deal sky might do at the moment?
I have the basic HD package and get phone line rental with them too. This is £39 a month.
Thanks

If you feel you're not getting enough use out of it why bother looking for retention deals?
Save money and switch to either Freeview / Freesat HD and get your calls/rental cheaper elsewhere.0 -
Any deal you may get offered to stay with Sky on threatening to leave seems to depend on who you get on the other end of the phone at Sky CS.
What others may have got may not be the same for you.Dave. :wave:0 -

I was considering this but apparently I'd have to buy a Freesat HD box to get any of the HD channels. Not even sure if I can keep the box to record stuff?Phantom_Flan_Flinger wrote: »Any deal you may get offered to stay with Sky on threatening to leave seems to depend on who you get on the other end of the phone at Sky CS.

Yes, I thought asking around here might help me know what is a good deal (i.e. one to accept) and what is an average deal (i.e. one to put the phone down on). So seemed worth asking to me..0 -

It's your box to keep, after install it's no longer Sky's property.
If you cancel your sub then the box becomes a Freesat from Sky box and the record function is disabled. However the cost of a Freesat PVR will soon be recouped by the savings on your Sky subs, probably in less than 6m depending on what your current monthly sub is.No free lunch, and no free laptop
