well for what it's worth I think you came across as someone who had ten ton of crap dumped on him, more than most people would be able to cope with and still managed to keep going. Who was strong enough to never give up hope and ask for help at his lowest point but even braver to accept that help when it came forward. And as someone who has 2 very lovely sons who are a credit to him.

Oh and in my 17yr old daughters words "oooh who are they???" (me) why? "just wondering" (big grin) = she thought they are both good looking lads lol

The kitchen, (particularly the range cooker and the lampshade) and the boys were definitely the stars of the show according to my feedback.

    Followed by NiccaTW, of course.

    Hi all.

Just reading this on Vince Cable's web site:

    http://www.bis.gov.uk/news/topstories/2010/Dec/iml-funding-announced

Will get back after I've read it.

ETA: Well that didn't take long to read but this bit is a bit interesting:

    Consumer Minister Edward Davey said:
“These are good projects - they are taking the fight to loan sharks and scammers in communities up and down the country.

“It is extremely pleasing that despite the huge budget deficit we have been able to find the funding to continue this important work. People who prey on the vulnerable will not be tolerated and these teams will help lead the fight against these crooks".

ETA2: Sorry it's from the Deprtment for Business Innovation and Skills website.

Ok this looks like an interesting page:

    http://www.bis.gov.uk/policies/consumer-issues/enforcement-of-consumer-law

I don't have time to read it thoroughly now, best get off to bed as I'm back at work tomorrow, but I'll read it tomorrow.

It mentions "Super Complaints" and "consumer bodies" <--- they have to be designated by the Sevretary of State so need to find out if MSE is or could be "designated" and if Martin Lewis would permit that and if not how do we set up such a body or find out what body we could use (apart from Mike's hot body).

    Hope this helps a bit.

I read that and am not sure what it's angled towards - corporate debt recovery seems the main plank?

The pages are not loading properly now so I guess it really is time for bed!

I'll do some more reading tomorrow with fresh eyes and a less tired mind.

Good night and take care all,

Mike, I only just got to see your episode tonight due to Sky+ failing to record it, but I was gobsmacked at the state your house was in, and delighted by the palace you received in its place. Your new house is stunning, and your sons seem absolutely lovely! :)

May your new life be wonderful in every way. :):)

Feeling a bit vulnerable after exposing my problems, health and financial record, plus details of my sons, and interior shots of my house to nine million people! People staring into the kitchen through the window is rather unnerving even if you're immaculately dressed and adopting a pose, as I do usually (he lied).

Not so great when you're sitting in your dressing gown eating toast.

    Aw Mike. :(
How about getting a life-sized poster of Nick and Julia and taping it over your window? It might make the interior a bit dark, but while an excited crowd gathers outside, you can sneak upstairs and pretend to be elsewhere...

...but that won't fool Psycho.
