Well I've contacted them and they said that he hasn't picked up on my forms that I'm a mature student, so she will send the application to him again to consider it again and get back to me.

He is on leave this week, so I won't hear until next week.

Did he not even read my application?

just think about how many applications they get - it is monsterous! there will be a few mistakes and it's rubbish that this has happened to you, but given the amount of processing done in a short space of time by very few individuals, it is just bound to happen now and again.

just to check - you said 2 courses - have you contacted them both?

The lady on the phone said he does both of the courses I have the conditional offers for.

I'm still waiting on 3 other replies.

Just feel a little misled, but not to worry, it might turn out okay. If not, then maybe I'm not up to scratch for that course yet.

Positive thinking is definitely the way to go :) I contacted the admissions tutor for my course because I didn't meet the entry requirements and was a mature student but really wanted to try to get on the course. Didn't hear from him for three months! then got an email asking a couple of questions, I answered and got a reply inviting me to interview :) the hardest interview I've ever done but I got a place and I'm just finishing my second year.
Let us know when you get a reply and good luck with the other three.

I am trying to be positive, but just a bit confused really..

Just had another reply from a course that said you needed 100 UCAS points. Just had a conditional offer from that one too that said I need 200 UCAS points.?!?

I emailed the tutor earlier today (before getting the offer on this one) and asked if he could base his decision on the fact that I am a mature student, and now this. Maybe it's a mistake..

This is the course I've just been offered a conditional place, based on 200 UCAS points. It quite clearly says 100 points required?

The points/grades they give is the minimum requirement, but universities often ask for more than that.

How many points do you have currently?

It looks like I will be getting 80 UCAS points, Civil Engineering Award at grades MMMMDD (M=Merit D=Distinction).

I've had another conditional offer based on 80 UCAS points, which I have got, for the Quantity Surveying HND.

I'm happy now :D It was my second choice, but I'm just so glad I've got in :)

That's great news - you will probably still get the others but at least you can rest easy knowing you have a secure place lined up. :j

    Thanks :)

Not sure about the others though. I've emailed the course tutor for one that came back requiring 200 points. I asked if this was correct and could he base it on me being a mature student. He just emailed me back.

'Yes it's a standard reply for 200 points and that is what we are offering you'.

So basically, shove off. He's been rather unhelpful throughout.

I got in though, that's all that matters :D
