Cancelling vodafone iphone contract VERY early

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help with this.
I've got an iPhone with Vodafone, my contract doesn't run out until 8th Feb 2012 but I BADLY want to cancel it. Is there any way of doing this without paying the remainder of the contract fee? I get no signal in my house, so I can't take calls and I have to hang out of a window to send texts. In addition to this, their customer service is shocking and I don't enjoy being connected to an overseas call centre for any queries. I tried to call customer services to discuss this but half the menu options don't work and then after the 7th frustrating phone call where a menu option didn't work, I was cut off. I'm completely fed up but don't think I will be able to afford to pay the penalty. Has anyone got any suggestions? TIA.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but these contracts are called contracts for a reason.0

A contract is a legally binding document and if you read it you'll find that Vodafone don't guarantee indoor signal, you have no grounds to cancel0

As far as the lack of signal in your house that can be resolved with a Sure Signal. It costs £50.00 and connects to your broadband to give your own transmitter in the house. If you talk very nicely to CS they might even be able to help with the cost. As far as CS in concerned I am afraid that Vodafone can be very hit and miss. Have you tried posting on Vodafones EForum ?0

Have you thought of popping in to a Vodafone shop and discussing the situation with them? The Sure Signal is your best bet (as mentioned by talkalot) and a hell of a lot cheaper than cancelling the contract!!In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0

I know it's called a contract for a reason! I'm just really disappointed with vodafone so far, I've looked at Sure Signal but it's pretty annoying that I'm going to have to pay extra just so I can get signal in my house, it's not like I live anywhere really rural or in a signal blackspot. Oh well, just wanted to find out if there was any possibility. Guess I'm stuck with it! Thanks for the advice.Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0

speak to vodaphone
you may get a deal on it
or sell the phone and put the money towrds clearing off the contract0 -
How long have you had the contract? I bet more than a month, it doesnt take that long to find out you have signal problems.
A more likely scenario is you want the new Iphone0 -

Not bothered about an iPhone 4! I've had all my final exams to be revising for, sorting the phone out was low priorityScar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0 -
SureSignal sounds like the best option. With a bit of sweet talking, you might be able to get a discount or even free.
No network can guarantee reception inside buildings. The fact you can get a signal by hanging out of the window suggests you're not in a complete signal 'blackspot'0
