Virgin Media - Surely Get Better Broadband Speed.

Hi all,
I am going to try and get a deal for my mum as she knows nothing! :P
Currently I think we are one a very small package. We have:
2MB Broadband Internet
Basic TV Package
Line Rental
All with Virgin Media. And we pay around £20.00 per month for this and we have been with these for about 18 months now.
Question is.. We should be on more than 2MB broadband and we have standard everything.
How should I approach them when I ring them. What would be a good deal? I know we should be upgraded to at least 10MB internet alone. Could we get this cheaper? Could we get any money off or get things added on to our package?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please note this break my bartering virginity so please be gentle and advise best you can.

If you are on 2MB broadband it seems you've tried it on before and they put you on "s" broadband which retentions use to match it with skys free broadband (2GB)0

You're getting what you're paying for.You want more,you have to pay more I'm afraid.You're on a small pack & the is'nt much incentive for VM to upgrade you off the minimum spend pack,they certainly wont do it for free if the's no return.
