Sold prices

Can anyone recommend a good website with recent sold prices? I've tried absolutely loads and many don't even find my address and the rest aren't up to date - and all of that is found out after registering  Any suggestions greatly appreciated :D Free sites only please - I'm just being nosy :rotfl: The person who bought my last house sold it within a few months when the stamp duty threshold rose and I just want to know whether they made any money.

This one isn't too bad. If you have already tried it apologies if it isn't any use to you
  • It takes months for websites to update the information, mainly due to the Land registry being slow about it.

Also one needs to keep in mind that the prices are just indicative, and some fluctuations need to considered due to the maintenance of the property in the first place. The property which has been well maintained will obviously sell for more than the one which never saw a handyman since it was built ;)

The ourproperty site mentioned above is good as they also once registered send out monthly emails to tell you the house prices of recently sold properties in your neighborhood.

Updates a month after land registry data.

    Any other suggestions?

    ourproperty.co.uk - doesn't find my old address
rightmove.co.uk - is only up to may 2004 (doesn't show my sale at end of 2005)
nethouseprices.com - also only shows up to may 2004

    don't understand it

jenny i don't understand it either, i think you may have missed a setting somewhere that asks you what period you want to search for on all the above sites, i generally find sold prices registered a month after the sale has been registered at LR.

Just double checked on both rightmove and nethouseprices and I've tried searching all years and specifically 2005 and 2006 and there's nothing. I've also tried neighbouring streets with no success. Strangely at my current address both go up to November 2005 meaning they should at least show my sale. housepricereports.com is the best I've found as it shows up to April 2006 at my current address and at least finds my old address but still has the last sale as May 2004. I can't find a single website that shows my sale of the house let alone any subsequent sales.

Try widening the area that you are searching, also try just putting the first few letters of your address in. You should be findig anywhere completed upto the end of May 2006, may even be June by now, on nethouseprices.

Pm me the address if you want and I'll see if I have better luck!

    PM'd you back!

    Think I've solved it.

For others, I recommend searching by postcode if the road isn't shown.
