Today I have spent £20. Not bad for a saturday for me.

That would be £15 on a work shirt (reduced from £35 and good make) and then a coffee and cake with a friend.

As I'm being good this evening and not going out for a drink, I feel pretty pleased with myself.

Buy your workshirts in Tesco when they reduce them, short sleeves are due to be reduced shortly if you'll excuse the pun, buy them up and throw them in a cupboard for summer next year, go for plain shirts as they tend not to date so quickly, wait for spring and buy up long sleeved shirts for winter next year. They normally go down to about £1.50 if you time it right, quality is not exceptional but at that price you can throw them away or donate to charity after a few weeks.

    (hurrah!)

Very commendable but did you actually leave the house today?
