I need to find a nice B&B or Hotel in Hull - can anyone recommend anywhere which is good value? I have searched online but I have not found anywhere for less than £50 for one night not including breakfast...

I wasnt expecting Hull to be so expensive!

    Hello Lifeisbutadream

You might be lucky and find a £29 room at a Premier Inn hotel. There are 3 hotels in Hull and this one is in the city centre:

    Tower Street, Kingston Upon Hull,
    Hull HU9 1TQ
    T: 0871 527 8534 *
    F: 0871 527 8535
Our Hull City Centre Premier Inn has everything you'd expect, incredibly comfy beds in every room and an integrated restaurant serving a mix of traditional and contemporary dishes.

It's a new Premier Inn and quite nice..............so a friend tells me.;)

    Regards

Is your friend called Lenny Henry?
I enjoy a pint of beer each night for it's health benefits. The other pints are for my witty comebacks and flawless dance moves.

Another option is Ibis hotel and this one is also in the city centre:

    Osbourne Street
    Ferensway
    HU1 2NL HULL

    UNITED KINGDOM

This is a budget hotel. Your hotel booking puts you in the heart of Hull city centre, close to the railway station

The price might suit you better, if you can't find a £29 Premier Inn.;)

I think we might just have to get up early!!!

My daughter is in a swimming gala and we have to be there at 7.45am - I just thought it might be nice to stay over and then not rush in the morning...

The Ibis is £37, which although better, is still quite a lot of money....

Why don't you try a B&B or pub on the outskirts - Beverley, North Ferriby, South Cave are all nice (compared to Hull that is).
