My rear parking sensors have stopped working (Shogun Sport), what are the most likely causes and is it ever an expensive fix?

if their original mits fitted make sure their clean and not obstructed by anything (will beep constantly)

if no beeping at all could be broken wire/control module fault

Or even one of the sensors packed up, as it usually takes them all out if there's a fault with one.

I do wonder if manufacturers have made modern cars more difficult to park (due to shape and visibility issues) just so they can sell us parking sensors?

I must remember to take a picture of the rear of my colleagues car. The car is fitted with reversing sensor AND a rear parking camera and yet she has still has managed to inflict half a dozen different dents and scrapes. If they fitted a man with a red warning flag to her car he'd probably have broken legs. :D

OP, get you car down to a car stereo type place that also installs reversing sensors. I had a broken wire repaired by them for £35 for an hours labour.

If someone doesn't know the size of the vehicle they are driving, I'd suggest they shouldn't be in control of it in the first place.
