VW Golf. Squeaking coming from somewhere....
Got a squeaking noise coming from what sounds like probbaly the rear suspension. Cant locate exactly but its a noise i can hear with the windows wound up and is pretty much constant. One of the rear suspension bits is black and one looks as though it has been sprayed silver?
I bought it on friday from VW Mansfield but live about 80 miles from there. Will i be able to take it to any VW for them to sort or will it have to be that one?

My bet is that its the bushes, im not to clued up on VWs sorry but a friend has this very problem at the moment. Top mount bushes are easy enough to replace, the lower bushes I couldn't say sorry. Have a word with the garage you got the car from.0

Take it its second hand, not brand new? In that case, sadly you will have to get the selling garage to sort it.0

yeah second hand mate i'm afraid.0

Give them a ring, see if you can do a deal, getting it fixed locally with them paying for it?0

doesnt matter ive got it booked in with them. I needed to make a visit to somewhere near there anyway this week so its worked out ok. Just concerned that something is wrong with it already. Plants the seed of doubt that i had about buying a second hand car!!0

Don't worry. Just 'suggest' that it should have been picked up on the PDI, and I'm sure they'll fix it FOC.
Chances are it'll be a rear spring or rear anti roll bar link, but either way should've been fixed before you drove off with it.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. 'Bushes' is a bit vague, as potentially there are 18 bushes that can be replaced. None, as yet, are needing replacement on the hundreds of Mk5's we see through the workshop, so it's a fairly safe bet to not be any of those...:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
