Hope you don't mind me hijacking as I have a similar prob with my tv.
So where is a good place to buy coaxial cables, as apart from the standard places like B&Q I wouldn't know where to look?
My signal has got shocking lately and often disappears completely. Sometimes it is perfect though, which makes me think it could be interference from a neighbour having certain items plugged in/switched on (live in a cramped block of flats). They are also erecting scaffolding to mess around with my roof so I'm guessing this isn't helping?0 -
The best cable to use is what is used for satellite installations, which is double screened and has a lower loss (attenuation) at higher frequencies i.e. CT100 and you can get it at places like B&Q. If there is scaffolding near to your aerial on your roof, this could have an effect on your signal, so it may be worth waiting, unless they have knocked your aerial out of alignment. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
