100k off would be a start...
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Lol daveyjp and geoffky not fans then?!! I am still very glad we bought ours, i have always said if we had the choice to buy another house i would still buy this unless i won the lottery then the world is our oyster!.

In 3 years we have had no costs at all other than a boiler service of £89! we have had the odd niggle fixed under snagging and still to this day love our house and everything we got with it. We NEVER hear our neighbours nor them us and this is a big point for me as i guess nothing worse than hearing people in your own home. I have actually just remembered there is one problem with this house and it is the kitchen sink as it bows and collects water! the whole development was the same and we will eventually get round to getting it changed.
The garden is a good size, we have parking and a garage, a shed!good off rd parking, it is very quiet too 90% of the time..well i could go on but won't!
Good luck with your hunt wilky26 we had a smaller company build the houses where we are and they tend to put more effort in as opposed to Barrett etc who seem to just bulk build one and move on!

they waited until I moved in until the turf was laid so that I could look after it - it's lush but I'm dreaded my water bill !!!!!

All new builds have water meters don't they?

Our turf was laid only a few weeks before we moved in and we haven't had any probs. We are on a meter and as far as i know most new houses are now.
