(some obviously do !!) so there is no reason if you haven't sold a house for say 20 years as to why you would even be aware of "house staging" etc. That is advice agents certainly should be giving
Saying all thata a house will only sell at the right price hwoever well it has been staged, so that will be the key factor. Photos and staging are about getting people there in the first place and making a good first impression, especially those with zero imagination
Good luck
But the OP has lived there less than seven years, possibly much less.0 -

Must have missed that in the post. Doesn't change the basic point though - not everyone watches or would be aware of the relatively recent industry of house staging - and the agent certainly should be giving advice IMO0 -

It's on the OP's site where he says the two properties were joined in 2003 by the previous owners.
I agree the EA, on seeing the property, should have given fairly detailed advice on how to improve its appearance.
The property is ugly on the outside (at the rear at least) and tired and dated inside.
I wouldn't show any pictures of the rear of the property or the yard and outbuildings. They can't be worse in real life than they are in the pictures. They put me off and I'm a fan of decent outbuildings.0
